Details A Superb Victorian Novelty vinaigrette modelled as a suitcase. Made by the renowned maker Sampson Mordan and Co. This piece has survived in virtually untouched condition, there is no wear to the case or the grill and both hinges are tight with no play. The original gilding is in untouched condition. Not hallamrked as often the case with Mordan Vinaigrettes but marked on the grill and shown in the photos. A very rare vinaigrette.

Dimensions 3.5 inches height, 2 inches at widest part of egg.
Details A Superb Victorian Scottish Egg shaped inkwell set with various polished hardstones throughout. The lid featuring a facetted cairngorm style stone. The gilded interior likely had a glass liner at some time to hold the ink. Excellent engraving and no damage to the hardstones this piece has survived in virtually untouched condition.
