Details An extremely rare victorian bookmark depicting the Eddystone Lighthouse. The Eddystone rocks are a dangerous reef 8 miles off Rams Head - Cornwall. This bookmark depicts the 5th tower to be built here, designed by James Douglass and completed in 1882 it is still in use today although now fully automated. This is the only bookmark depicting a lighthouse which I have ever seen. Excellent quality and by a good maker.
